While Turkey discusses whether to chose a woman president or not, Iranian woman are being arrested by police for showing hair under their headscarves.

Iranian government has put new Islamic 'clothing' laws into force. Iranian police have begun warning women wearing tight clothes and loose headscarves.

Clothing inspection for Iranian women

After new Islamic laws executed in Iran yesterday, police have begun stopping women on the streets to warn them about their appearance. Police have the right to arrest women with loose headscarves.

Iranian government has put new clothing laws into force on Sunday. Police officers in Tehram streets have begun inspecting women's clothes.

"Women with bawdy clothing and attitude cause corruption in society. We will do everything to prevent women going out with such clothes," said Ahmet Rıza Radan, Tehran police chief.

According to this new law, women are no longer allowed to wear tight jackets, skirts, pants and blouses. Headscarves must cover every single hair string.
