PGCC: no base for US attack on Iran

Saudi Arabia's interior minister has vowed that the Persian Gulf states would never be used as a launch pad for any military attack on Iran.

Prince Nayef bin Abdul-Aziz made the remarks on Sunday according to SPA news agency.

"I think the brothers in Iran are totally aware that ... Iran will not be a source of harm for their neighbors and brothers ... These countries will not be a source of harm for Iran," he added.

"Respect and consideration are mutual. I speak for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia … and the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council [PGCC]," he said.
